Man Held Responsible For Returned U-Haul Truck

The next morning at about 10 a.m. I get a phone call that I had never locked the truck, Long said.

Long says the general manager of the U-Haul facility text-messaged his wife that the truck was overdue and told Long on the phone that the truck had been stolen and that is was Longs responsibility to file a police report, which he did, even though Bellingham police told KIRO 7 that it wasnt Longs job to report the theft because hes not the owner of the truck.

I called the general manager of U-Haul and I said, Boy, Im glad I was able to help you out. Can you close my contract? And he said, No way. I asked why, and he said as far as he was concerned, the truck had never been checked in, said Long.

I was flabbergasted and I said, Well, I have done everything you have asked me to do.

NMSU men's basketball team entertains Hawaii

Saturday's game is big," said NMSU senior forward Justin Hawkins after the Aggies' 88-65 victory over San Jose State on Thursday. "It's senior night, but we are also playing a team that beat us. We have to play well, we want to head into the WAC Tournament with momentum."

Hawkins came to Las Cruces from the University of Utah. Peete transferred from Kansas State. Senior center Martin Iti transferred from North Carolina-Charlotte and senior forward Trei Steward came from the University of Northern Colorado.

"When you start the organization of senior night, you start to realize that these guys were pretty good for me," said Aggies head coach Marvin Menzies. "These guys all understand that it's all about winning. That was good to have a group like that. I think we are going to have great relationships."

As they sat out in 2005-06, the Aggies' practice squad could have competed with some WAC opponents.

Stone the crows, a pot-headed pop

Not that I'm suggesting drugs are the sole domain of the young and hapless; it's just that something is amiss when someone who qualifies for discount public transport is an integral component in maintaining the market share of BBQ Shapes and ice cream.

I don't want to appear ageist - but the reality is I guess I am, as it is not only the pot-head pop who has disconcerted me, but more that a lovely if misguided 22-year-old lad recently hit on me.

Normally this would be an huge ego boost for a 36-year-old. But my initial reaction was "I own wine older than you", followed closely by, "If this were the Edwardian era, I would be old enough to be your mother".

Ego boost aside, when these thoughts pop into your head, it's reasonable to assume no amount of mental colour and movement is going to distract you from the logical progression to an internal monologue on Zimmer frames and incontinence pads.

US district court judge orders shutdown of whistleblower web site

In an extraordinary act of censorship, lawyers representing the Swiss bank Julius Baer (BJB) obtained an injunction against the Dynadot corporation, US domain name registrar for the Wikileaks web site.

Judge Jeffrey White of the Federal District Court in San Francisco issued the injunction February 15 in a lawsuit BJB filed against Wilikeaks and Dynadot. The suit was filed after Wikileaks posted documents allegedly revealing fraudulent activities, including asset-hiding, money laundering and tax evasion schemes, on the part of the bank’s Cayman Islands branch. BJB claims the documents were stolen and contain customer information protected from disclosure under privacy laws.

The website of BJB promotes the bank as “the leading dedicated wealth manager in Switzerland,” concentrating on “private banking and asset management for private and institutional clients.”

Under the terms of the injunction, Dynadot may not release the registered wikileaks.org domain name, meaning that the Wikileaks web site cannot be reached through the related web address, www.wikileaks.org.

A geek’s trip to Capitol Hill on Network Management

Melvin Ammori, General Counsel, Free Press David Burstein, Editor, DSLPrime George Ou, Editor at Large, ZDNet Haruka Saito, Counselor for Telecom, Embassy of Japan Christopher S. Yoo, Professor of Law and Communications, University of Pennsylvania

Christopher Yoo - After a brief introduction by Scott Wallsten who explained that the order of the presentations will be reverse alphabetical order, Christopher S. Yoo kicked off his presentation. Professor Yoo explained that networks, like roads, aren't built for everyone to use them at the same time. Yoo gave the example that if a person wants to know how fast he can travel on a freeway, he wouldn't know until he got there because we can't predict exactly how many other people will be on the road at the same time. Yoo explained the difficulty in projecting network capacity and that we can't always be right when determining whether more capacity or network management was the answer.

'SNL': CNN Debate Moderators 'Totally in the Tank for Senator Obama'

As a post facto thought, was NBC mocking the news media for being so in the tank for Obama, or not being in the tank for Hillary? Bear in mind that this show emanates from her "home" state where she did well in the primaries. As such, if you watch this again, is this more of a smack at CNN for not getting on Hillary's bandwagon than so obviously being pro-Obama?
