Arizona News: I'm Jerry, I Stole From My Parents

Hook further stated, "There were people honking their horns in support and others who made sure I watched them dial 911. Although a few police officers and detectives drove by we didn't have any trouble from anybody; and Jerry, other than being a little cold and crying a bit, I think he's getting the message". Jerry, one of two children in this rural American household, lives with Steve who has proudly taken on the role of being a responsible father figure. "We thought this would be effective for the short term, so it may continue for a few days before and after school at different intersections. This is a very bright boy that should be given all the love in the world. We know that we must be vigilant, but damn its tough," he concluded. .

But the real triumph of the iPod should be credited to Apple's marketing department. Apple is one of the best at the "lifestyle" products game. There was no technological revolution, but it sure felt like one. That's mission accomplished in the product development biz. And again the genius of the iPod's visual design was to make it easily distinguishable at first sight. Back in the winter of '01-'02, anyone could immediately spot the trend setters. It was all about those white headphones.

Of course, those white headphones signify something quite different to other fraysters. Describing his daily morning commute with zombie-like iPod listeners' "long white wires filtering down to the nearest pocket, staring off into some spot on the bus where there is no gaze coming back, looking nothing less than already defeated and depressed by the day ahead of them," Ted_Burke rails against the anti-social behavior induced by the device, declaring: "I neither own an Ipod, nor wish to get one."

Shuffle over to the Culturebox Fray for other testimonials to the iPod's influence and contribution to societal ills.

Advanced Life Sciences Announces Successful Thorough QT Study Of ...

Advanced Life Sciences Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADLS), announced positive results from Trial CL07-001, a thorough QT study of the Company's novel once-a-day oral antibiotic, cethromycin. This study was conducted to evaluate the cardiac safety of cethromycin and to enhance the safety database for the Company's upcoming New Drug Application (NDA) submission for cethromycin to treat community acquired pneumonia (CAP). The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires thorough QT studies for all new chemical entities because prolongation in QT interval (corrected for changes in heart rate, or QTc) may signify an increased risk of developing cardiac arrhythmias.

Trial CL07-001 evaluated the potential of cethromycin to cause a prolongation in electrocardiographic QT interval in accordance with FDA and ICH E14 guidance.

Best Story in College Basketball: Drake. My apologies to Bruce Pearl and Tennessee and Steve Donahue and Cornell, which is 10-0 in conference play and about to become the first school other than Princeton or Penn to win the Ivy League since 1988. Drake hasn't been in the NCAA Tournament since 1971, and Coach Keno Davis, who took over this season from his dad, the great Dr. Tom Davis, has the team at 24-3 with two one-time walk-ons, one handles the ball on every possession while the other leads the Missouri Valley Conference in rebounding, leading the way. Drake-Butler on Saturday was a much better game to watch than Memphis-Tennessee.

This helpful little app works with MacBook Air's and the new MacBook Pro's multitouch trackpads to bring gesture control to any Cocoa app.

MultiClutch works as an input manager, capturing gesture events and performing any special commands you've defined. A preference pane allows you to define actions for any app. If something hasn't been defined for the front-most app, the default behavior is used.

While the software is still in beta status, Henderson has been using it since the first week the MacBook Air was introduced, and several private testers report that the app runs very smoothly. Very smooth indeed. A fool could see just how much I adore you, MultiClutch.
